Job Overview

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Intel, you will play a critical role in driving software quality from concept to delivery. You will work closely with product development teams to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met, determining release readiness and risks.

You will analyze product quality data and drive improvements through defect prediction models, requirements traceability, and SWLC optimizations. Your expertise will improve customer experience with critical issue management, throughput time, root cause analysis, and software practices assessments.

You may work directly with customers to understand requirements upfront, pain points during development and delivery, and drive execution improvements through Intel's development life cycle. You may create tools and automation to support quality evaluation and data analytics (SWLC, Defects, uQRC vectors), perform out-of-box testing for software products to recreate customer experiences and pain points, and assess the state of the art to employ new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery
  2. Analyze product quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and resolve issues
  4. Design and implement tools and automation to support quality evaluation and data analytics
  5. Perform out-of-box testing to recreate customer experiences and pain points
Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  1. At least 3 years of test automation experience
  2. High proficiency in test automation on different test levels
  3. Deep understanding of good quality practices and processes within Agile methodologies
  4. High level of ownership and responsibility
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative mindset
  6. Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
  7. Networking knowledge, including an understanding of L2/L3 networks, subnets, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Port Forwarding, DNS resolving, SSH tunneling, and router operations
  8. Experience with embedded systems and/or networking devices

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
