Process Engineering Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a group of Process Engineers, Metallurgists, and Technicians to achieve quality standards, project completion, and profitability goals.
  2. Work Oversight: Review and evaluate the work completed by team members while assisting in the distribution of tasks within the group.
  3. Business Development: Actively participate in business growth initiatives, including client interactions and delivering technical presentations at industry conferences.
  4. Professional Development: Provide guidance and support for the ongoing professional growth of the process team.
  5. Process Improvement: Create and assess Workflow Processes and Procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Technical and Operational Assistance:

  1. Metallurgical Testing: Develop, manage, and interpret laboratory and piloting metallurgical test work programs.
  2. Documentation: Draft and review reports on test work and business cases.
  3. Design Calculations: Conduct calculations for equipment sizing and process design in response to requests for quotations.
  4. On-Site Support: Provide commissioning, operational, and optimization assistance at client locations.
  5. Problem Resolution: Address and resolve technical and process design issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant experience, ideally in mineral processing or chemical engineering.
  2. Proficient in froth flotation processes.
  3. Registered Professional Engineer in Canada.
  4. Experience in client-facing roles with a track record of delivering OEM and/or EPC projects within budget and on schedule.
  5. Strong communication and leadership abilities, coupled with advanced technical problem-solving skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent planning, organizational, scheduling, and coordination capabilities.
  7. Ability to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances and new requirements.
  8. Exceptional time management skills and the capacity to work autonomously.
  9. Skilled in prioritizing tasks and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  10. Willingness to travel for site visits as necessary.
