About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pizza Cook to join our team at Joe's Pizza Stone - Chetwynd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and take steps to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, and ensure that all equipment and utensils are properly sanitized and maintained.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staff supervision, to ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant or similar food service environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, and to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliable, and a team player.
