Job Title: Parts Counter Sales Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Parts Counter Salesperson at our Halifax, NS location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories, as well as providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized parts department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell products and/or services to meet customer needs
  • Record all sales and/or counter transactions that occur and process all parts orders in full when parts leave with customer
  • Supply Service Technicians with parts as required
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays and keeping the parts department clean and orderly
  • Verify receipting-in of shipments and assist with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
  • Follow up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
  • Assist in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
  • Assist in maintaining department reports (no bin, negative on hand, etc)
  • Work with other departments as directed by your Parts Manager

Requirements:

  • Basic data entry and keyboarding skills
  • Basic parts and machinery knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Fork lift license an asset
