At NGE Sports, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Strategist to join our team. This is a part-time position (3-4 days a week) that requires expertise in financial management, contract and regulatory compliance, and leadership skills.

About the Role

The Senior Financial Strategist will oversee all aspects of the organization's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and investment management. This role involves working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders to develop strategic financial plans and policies.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification holder who has experience working in a charitable not-for-profit environment. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing and administering financial services, including budget preparation, funder reporting, and audit activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and policies
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and investment management processes
  • Liaise with external auditors and negotiate audit terms
  • Monitor and report on financial performance and provide regular updates to the Senior Management Team and Foundation Board
  • Work with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop investment policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a charitable not-for-profit environment
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field; Master's degree or postgraduate qualification is an asset

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
