Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Child Care Provider to join our team. As a Home Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement play-based experiences that cater to children's interests and needs.
- Observe and document children's learning and development.
- Build strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
- Work collaboratively with other Providers, Families, Community Partners, and Children to create a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by being aware of their diverse needs, backgrounds, and creating inclusive opportunities for all.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring the proper use and maintenance of equipment, furniture, and materials.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
- Access to a suitable operational space for up to 6 children (including play, meals, sleep, and outdoor areas).
- Experience working with young children.
- Ability to show warmth, sincerity, and genuine interest when interacting with children.
- Ownership or rental of a home or apartment that meets the requirements for a Home Child Care business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective behavior guidance skills, including problem-solving, positive reinforcement, and redirection strategies.
- A valid and accredited Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.
- Updated immunization records or a signed and notarized refusal of affidavit or medical exemption.
- A current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (not more than 3 months old).
- An active Food Handler's Certificate.
