We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Home-Based Child Care Provider. As a Compassionate Child Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to create a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement play-based experiences that cater to children's interests and needs.
- Observe and document children's learning and development, using this information to inform your practice.
- Build strong relationships with families, involving them in the learning process and keeping them informed about their child's progress.
- Work collaboratively with other Providers, Families, Community Partners, and Children to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children, acknowledging and respecting their diverse needs, backgrounds, and abilities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in early childhood education.
- Access to a suitable operational space for up to 6 children (including play areas, meals, sleep, and outdoor spaces).
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a home-based setting.
- Warmth, sincerity, and genuine interest when interacting with children.
- A valid and accredited Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.
- Updated immunization records (or a signed and notarized refusal of affidavit or medical exemption).
- A current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (not more than 3 months old).
- An active Food Handler's Certificate.
As a Compass Early Learning & Care Provider, you will have the flexibility to create your own program, setting your own schedule and hours. You will also have the opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated team, committed to providing high-quality early childhood education.
