As an Electronics Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and repairing electronic equipment and assemblies, diagnosing and locating circuit, component, and equipment faults, and testing and adjusting repaired products for proper functioning.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Test Electronic Equipment: Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair, inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies to identify faults and defects.
- Repair and Replace Defective Parts: Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power, or specially designed tools.
- Diagnose and Locate Faults: Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults, and identify the root cause of the problem.
- Test and Adjust Repaired Products: Test and adjust repaired products to ensure they are functioning properly and meet the required standards.
- Complete Work Orders and Reports: Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports, and prepare cost estimates for repairs.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand the design and functionality of electronic equipment and assemblies.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electronics repair and maintenance.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
