Automotive Repair Specialist

Main Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Technician with AutoCanada, you will be responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and OEM standards. You will work closely with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, repair cycles, and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues
- Conduct multi-point inspections to recommend necessary repairs
- Document all work performed on the vehicle, ensuring accuracy and consistency with OEM standards
- Maintain a high level of integrity and work ethic in all aspects of the job
- Stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and participate in training classes as required
- Provide exceptional repair experiences to drive customer loyalty and department revenue
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of various makes and models
- A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process
- Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
- Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and work individually and as part of a team
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
Work Conditions:
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment subject to changing temperatures and physically vigorous work
- Regular exposure to fumes, dust/dirt, oil, grease, and noise from equipment operation
- Work around and operate machinery and other motorized equipment, including motor vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
- Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Manipulating hands and fingers to operate specialized tools and equipment
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, turning, and twisting to reach vehicle parts
- Occasional carrying, pushing, or pulling boxes and equipment to facilitate repairs
- Clarity of vision at varying distances to observe diagnostic instruments, manuals, and other printed information
- Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner
