Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, with experience in operating power vibrators, compacting concrete, and imparting desired finishes to concrete surfaces. You will work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and be physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities:
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Working at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Imparting desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Team player with dependability
  • Ability to work in a dusty, cold, hot, noisy, outdoors, and wet/damp environment
