Role Overview
The Senior Finance Business Partner, Technology role at CAE is a key position that requires a strong financial governance expert to support internal clients and achieve financial targets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as excellent communication skills to work with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial governance processes to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
- Support internal clients in achieving financial targets and provide financial analysis and recommendations.
- Prepare business cases for technology investments and challenge financial assumptions.
- Implement and oversee monthly reviews for technology projects and prepare financial reporting packages for executives.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with technology projects.
- Partner with technology and business segments to unify visions and simplify processes.
- Support team members in their day-to-day tasks and perform financial analyses to drive business growth.
Requirements
- MBA or professional accounting designation (CPA).
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in technology.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and gap analysis.
- Organized, detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to take initiative.
- Team player, ability to lead, and customer-oriented.
- Proactive, dynamic, and problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate in French and English (written and spoken).
- MS Excel/MS PowerPoint/MS Outlook/MS Teams advanced user skills.
- Planisware knowledge is considered an asset.
