Role and Responsibilities
The role we are offering you:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Governance Specialist to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a solid financial governance on CAE Technology projects. Your primary focus will be to support internal clients to achieve financial targets, support forecasting and budgeting activities, and prepare business cases for technology investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement budget and forecast processes to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
- Prepare and present business cases for technology investments, challenging assumptions and building financial models.
- Oversee and improve monthly reviews for technology projects, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages to executives, highlighting key trends and discrepancies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with technology projects.
- Partner with technology and business segments to align financial strategies and simplify processes.
- Support team members in their day-to-day tasks and provide guidance on financial analysis and planning.
Requirements:
- MBA or professional accounting designation (CPA) required.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in technology.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and gap analysis.
- Organized, detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to take initiative.
- Team player with excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate in French and English (written and spoken).
- Advanced user skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Teams.
- Planisware knowledge is considered an asset.
