We are seeking an experienced attending physician to join our team at Nithview Community, a seniors' community providing various types of accommodation and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical care to assigned residents on a weekly basis
- Address resident acute and chronic care needs and maintain accurate documentation
- Identify opportunities for palliative and end-of-life care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Work effectively with the medical director and nurse practitioner to ensure optimal resident care
- Conduct regular medication reviews and update resident health records
- Participate in after-hours on-call and commit to ongoing education in long-term care and related fields
- College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario License (required)
- Experience in long-term care, preferably in a similar setting
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
- Thorough knowledge of the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and associated regulations
