Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Identity Threat Protection (ITP) engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cloud-native security products that meet the highest standards of quality and scalability.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality cloud-native security products, from concept to final implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, design, support, and documentation, to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Commit to high programming standards by reviewing code and writing unit and functional tests to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our security solutions.
- Work closely with remote teams and individuals to ensure quality, agility, and velocity in our software development processes.
- Participate in rotations to expedite customer support and ensure their success.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- At least 3 years of experience building Java-based web applications.
- A solid understanding of design patterns, scalability patterns, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
- Experience working in fast-paced software development teams leveraging continuous integration and deployment practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across functions.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
While not mandatory, it would be beneficial if you have:
- Experience building anomaly detection systems or risk systems.
- Knowledge of cloud security, identity, and/or authentication protocols.
- Familiarity with one or more UI technologies such as Angular, ReactJS, Backbone, and Vue.
Compensation Package
The annual base salary range for this position is between $114,000 and $172,000 CAD, depending on your location and experience level.
