At Parsons Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our Critical Infrastructure team.

This role involves managing environmental site assessments, remediation projects, supervising junior professional staff, technical staff involved in field investigations, budget control, client liaison, and report preparation and review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective communication and reporting skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and presentations for regulators, clients, and senior personnel.
  • Ability to manage inter-disciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.
  • Capacity to integrate competing elements into planning and execution processes to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Serving as the company representative with clients and subcontractors during work execution and following up on instructions and commitments.
  • Maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies and participating in public meetings in support of clients.
  • Collaborating with managers and project team members to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for various project elements, ensuring they meet or exceed established goals.
  • Working with key project individuals to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays and accommodating significant changes to the scope of work, advising clients and management accordingly.
  • Fostering technical and commercial excellence through Quality Assurance processes and monitoring progress, including significant milestones, and conditions affecting project cost or schedule.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A 4-year degree in Environmental, Chemical, Engineering, or a related technical/business field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the environmental industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with knowledge of industry practices and regulations, including Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines.
  • Diverse background in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, field sampling (soils, groundwater, surface water), and reclamation.

Estimated Annual Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.
