At Borea Construction, we're harnessing the power of the sun and wind to generate something big.
As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will support and monitor the work completed on wind project sites. This role requires interacting with various stakeholders to ensure the project proceeds in accordance with regulatory conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure environmental monitoring of wind turbine construction work;
- Validating compliance with specifications, monitoring plans, laws, and regulations;
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, approval authorities, and project stakeholders;
- Proposing solutions to construction environment-related problems;
- Participating in the development of new tools and services offered by the company;
- Writing monitoring reports and performing other related duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Renewable Resources, or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position;
- Advanced knowledge of environmental standards for construction sites;
- Proficiency in ArcGIS software and good technical skills;
- Advanced bilingualism in English and French (written and spoken);
- Experience in the construction industry and its health and safety standards (an asset).
