Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team at Toronto Hydro. This role will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities to support various programs within Facilities.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity with an estimated annual salary of $85,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will have a University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of Project Management, Contractor Management, and/or Project Coordination experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all Facilities-related project work and ensure timely completion while maintaining strong communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and monitor day-to-day outsourced Facilities contractor performance, create purchase requisitions, process invoices, and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
  • Responsible for contract administration by coordinating, reviewing, and involving appropriate stakeholders during the design phase of the project.
  • Consult with internal business units to plan for the execution of Facilities projects or activities and coordinate needs with internal stakeholders, external consultants, suppliers, contractors, etc.
  • Accountable for planning and executing projects (smaller and lower risk projects).
Key Requirements
  • A valid G class driver's license.
  • Experience using SAP (or any ERP software) and advanced MS Office skills.
  • Conversant with office building operational equipment (Electrical, Mechanical, Security, Civil).
  • Excellent project management, time management organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with many levels of the organization.
