Job Title: Manager, Indigenous Community Engagement
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Indigenous Community Engagement to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with Indigenous communities in Quebec, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with Indigenous communities in Quebec, including community outreach, partnership development, and program delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Indigenous community leaders, organizations, and government agencies.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services to Indigenous communities, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address the needs of Indigenous communities, and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field, such as Indigenous studies, community development, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Indigenous community engagement, program management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and government agencies.
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and current issues, including the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Alternating between remote work and work in the office or in the field.
- Regular travel across the province, sometimes for a few consecutive days.
- Non-traditional working hours will be required when on-call, during emergency response and/or on deployments.
