We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental health assessments and investigations to identify and mitigate health hazards
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards
- Provide consultative and education services to the public, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with environmental health legislation, policy, and standards
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent
- Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) issued by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle
- Comprehensive benefit packages including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan
- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service
