Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist will play a vital role in our Regional Cancer Program, providing state-of-the-art planning, simulation, and treatment for patients with cancer. As a member of our Radiation Therapy / Treatment Planning Department, you will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and educate patients on radiation treatment options and procedures
  • Plan and administer radiation treatment, ensuring accurate and safe delivery
  • Document patient treatment information and prescriptions
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, research, and continuing education
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Canadian Medical Radiation Technologists Registry (CMRTO)
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OAMRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Minimum 3 years of recent and relevant experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Preferred qualifications include MRI certification and IV insertion certification
  • Strong technical, communication, and critical analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations
