About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Petro Canada/A&W. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and assess the performance of our restaurant, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Menu Planning and Pricing: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement menu plans that meet our budget and customer demands.
  • Labour Cost Management: Analyze and manage labour costs to ensure they are in line with our budget and industry standards.
  • Staff Performance Management: Supervise and train our staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and meet our high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of supplies and products to ensure we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that our restaurant meets all health and safety regulations and standards, providing a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, flexibility, organized, and a team player.
