At Equiton Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, maintaining financial records, and preparing tax returns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in using accounting software and MS Excel. They will also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll
  • Maintaining financial records and establishing, maintaining and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Preparing tax returns
  • Performing other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as required

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. They will also be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
