Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our stores' base building systems. You will oversee maintenance and repairs, work with third-party service providers, and maintain accurate records.

About the Job:

As a Building Operator, you will report to the Facilities Manager or Lead Building Operator, depending on location. Your primary responsibility will be to manage regional store portfolios, including overall building maintenance and base building system operations. This involves regular inspections, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • You will ensure daily operations are conducted with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • You will supervise all third-party service provider activities.
  • You will assign and fulfill work orders, ensure value for proposed services, and approve or escalate to the Facilities Manager/Lead Building Operator for approval.
  • You will perform routine building and equipment inspections and system testing, maintaining accurate records and notifying authorities as necessary.
Requirements:
  • You must hold a 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate or provincially-recognized equivalent.
  • You should have minimum 1-2 years experience as a 5th or 4th Class Power Engineer operating Boilers/Chillers, familiarity with different HVAC systems, and proficiency with Building Automated Systems (BAS).
  • You should have a valid Driver's License and own vehicle, with ability to travel between assigned stores.
  • You must pass the required security check.
Salary Estimate:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $60,000 - $80,000, based on industry standards and location.
