About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Grand River Kitchens & Woodworking Inc. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and bring them to life with precision and attention to detail.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing them for delivery.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, demonstrating your expertise and creativity.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 44 hours of work per week in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting.
  • Accurate and organized, with a strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Working Conditions

As a Cabinetmaker, you will work in a well-equipped workshop with a team of skilled professionals. You will be required to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and wear steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles.
