About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Grand River Kitchens & Woodworking Inc. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and bring them to life with precision and attention to detail.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing them for delivery.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, paying close attention to detail and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to our company's safety standards.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, breathing new life into existing pieces.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 44 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
