Job Summary
As a Production Assembler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our products before they reach our customers. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to assemble and test electrical and mechanical components, and provide feedback to engineering and operations groups to improve our processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble electrical and mechanical components and systems as required
- Test electrical and mechanical components and systems
- Collaborate with other functional teams during New Product Introduction builds
- Provide feedback to engineering and operations groups regarding first-time assemblies
- Complete repair on assemblies that have failed during one of the post-assembly tests
- Assist in product validation and flight testing when required
- Provide hands-on training to other Production Operators
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Kaizen
- Maintain 5S of your work area
Requirements:
You will be successful in this role if you have a strong background in general electronics assembly, with knowledge of Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing concepts. You should be proficient in both written and spoken English, and have the ability to understand assembly instructions and technical documentation.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in general electronics assembly with knowledge of Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Soldering experience with PCBA and wiring assemblies
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Ability to understand assembly instructions and technical documentation
- Familiarity with hand assembly tools
- Experience with PCBA – IPC inspection is an asset
- Basic assembly troubleshooting skills are an asset
