Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator, Oncology Clinic, is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments, processing referrals, and maintaining patient records. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a computerized scheduling system to schedule and book patient appointments, including complex interdisciplinary appointments.
  • Receive and register patients, ensuring accurate and complete patient demographics and information.
  • Perform referral functions, including data entry and processing related paperwork.
  • Provide receptionist and clerical duties, including answering phones and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain patient records and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 and two years of recent experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
