About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Definity Financial. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting data to inform business decisions and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of actuarial models and methodologies to support business operations
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases to support data analysis and reporting
  • Communicate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve processes
Requirements
  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Completion of at least one exam from the Casualty Actuarial Society or the Society of Actuaries
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and planning/organizational skills
  • Strong programming skills in R, SAS, or Python, and proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry and/or experience is an asset
