About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within the Government of Canada - Western, responsible for overseeing the education services department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs related to education services
  • Lead the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions within the education services department
  • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments within the education services department
  • Establish objectives for the education services department and formulate or approve policies and programs
  • Represent the Government of Canada - Western in negotiations or other official functions related to education services
  • Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff for the education services department; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a government or educational institution
  • Strong knowledge of education services and policies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
