Experienced Diesel Mechanic Wanted

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at CP. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles used in plant, yard, and road service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and inspect all systems on locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine malfunctions within regulatory and company guidelines
- Complete work according to blueprints, schematic drawings, and service manuals
- Evaluate parts for reuse, repair, or replacement
- Perform non-structural welding, adjustment, and calibration to mechanical components
- Modify and construct mechanical assemblies
- Maintain low-voltage repairs on locomotive electrical systems
- Service locomotive cabs, including cleaning cab walls, locomotive toilets, windows, and floors
- Operate equipment such as overhead or mobile cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Possess a Red Seal in Heavy-Duty Mechanics, Automotive Technician, Agriculture Equipment Technician, Truck and Transport Technician, Recreation Vehicle Service Technician, or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), or 6 years of practical or general experience in the mentioned trade
- Available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions
- Ability to pass written examinations, read and understand safety instructions, rules, regulations, and other written or printed material in English
- Proven dedication to safety and ability to complete work within guidelines/rules
