About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Professional to support our Impact Assessment and Permitting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in support of AECOM impact assessment and permitting projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and manage client-facing relationships to grow and maintain a strong client base.
  • Proposal Development: Develop strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities to help grow Environment business line owned backlog.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Regularly communicate with regulators, clients, and other AECOM technical staff/project managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Project Delivery: Provide technical expertise in support of AECOM impact assessment and permitting projects, including the review of work scopes and client deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrate creativity and foresight in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems, and mentor team members to achieve their potential.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (Aquatics, Water Quality, Marine Biology, Environment Related Technical discipline).
  • Experience: + 6 years consulting experience leading environmental projects.
  • Certifications: Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) with the College of Applied Biology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (Aquatics, Water Quality, Marine Biology, Environment Related Technical discipline).
  • Experience: + 8 years consulting experience leading projects in BC or more widely in Canada.
  • Skills: Strong client management skills, strong business development mindset, demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multidiscipline teams.
