Multidisciplinary Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary student support team at Grasslands Public Schools.
About the RoleAs a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a continuum of speech and language services to students from Pre-K to grade 12. This includes consulting with school-based staff, families, and district personnel to identify and address the communication needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct screenings and assessments using formal and informal speech and language measures.
- Communicate and interpret results to team members and provide recommendations for universal, targeted, and specialized services.
- Prepare written assessment reports and provide consultation to teachers regarding speech and communication goals for students.
- Collaborate to provide school and system level professional development to build capacity around teaching students with communication needs.
- Provide teachers with classroom-based supports based on individual and group needs.
- Supervise and oversee the work of speech-language pathology assistants and school-based therapy assistants.
- Collaborate with district support service teams to provide effective ongoing supports to schools.

To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPS).
- Eligibility for an Alberta teaching certificate considered an asset.
- Previous school-based collaborative work considered an asset.
