**Summary**:
**Description**:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Recruiting volunteers based on the needs of BCIS and/or the community.
- Creating and updating volunteer resource information as required.
- Delivering orientation, training, and support to volunteers.
- Organizing volunteer recognition and annual appreciation programs.
- Promoting consistent volunteer management standards and policies, including police and child protection clearances.
- Developing partnerships with other volunteer organizations in Brooks.
- Maintaining a database of volunteers, including agency-established standards for tracking demographics and statistical data.
- To prepare and submit articles on volunteer activities for publication in newsletters, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Human/Social Services preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience working with new Canadians.
- Experience in volunteer recruitment management.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit agency and familiarity with immigrant settlement issues will be considered as assets.
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively within a multicultural and multidisciplinary client and staff setting.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive oral and writing abilities.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
