NuChem Sciences, a leading contract research company in organic synthesis and biology, is expanding its team of experts.



We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT department. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our physical and virtual network infrastructure.



The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of network security and efficiency, and experience with server management and cloud computing platforms.



You will be responsible for:




  • Managing and maintaining our network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and firewalls;
  • Overseeing server management, upgrades, monitoring, and patching;
  • Ensuring cross-site consistency on premise and in public and private cloud environments;
  • Liaising with other members of the IT team and the broader business to respond to requests and resolve issues;
  • Supporting the overall change management process;
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of network configurations and systems;


About the Role



This is a permanent position with a competitive salary, annual bonus, and incentive plan. You will also receive additional benefits, including health and dental care insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, RRSP employer's matching program, and up to 5 weeks of vacation (plus one extra week during holiday season).



The position will be located in Montreal or Quebec City, offering a collaborative and supportive culture with opportunities to grow and succeed.



We are looking for someone with:




  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field;
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in network administration and server management;
  • Excellent knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms;
  • Strong technical skills in problem-solving and critical thinking;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Fluent English language skills;

A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience;
