Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at George Brown College. As a Part Time Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children enrolled in our Early Childhood Laboratory Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years, aligned with our department's philosophy and governing legislation.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to children, ensuring their overall health and safety in a sanitary and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, share expertise, and participate in centre and program development meetings.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with families through open communication, daily interactions, and formal parent interviews.
  • Maintain currency in curriculum methodology and participate in professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or AECEO equivalency.
  • Minimum one year post-diploma experience in a licensed preschool/childcare setting.
  • Current St. John's Ambulance or Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate.
  • Health assessment and immunization as required by the Ministry of Education, including Covid-19 vaccination.
