Leading Technical Manager for Amazon Payments

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned technical manager to lead our team in developing innovative payment solutions at Amazon. With over 7 years of experience working directly within engineering teams and 3+ years of engineering team management, you will be responsible for designing and architecting new systems, leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services, and partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable software systems
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
  • Partner with product management to define product strategy and roadmap
  • Mentor and develop engineers to improve their skills and increase productivity
  • Communicate technical designs and product strategy to senior leadership and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • Experience in designing and architecting new systems
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
  • Ability to communicate technical designs and product strategy to senior leadership and other stakeholders

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, applicants may also be eligible for equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
