We are seeking an experienced Manager, Mortgage Underwriting to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of underwriters, while managing mortgage loan operation volume and compliance for insured and conventional mortgages.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in underwriting and risk management, with experience in leading teams and developing employees in a positive and effective team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and implementing internal refinance strategies to increase refinanced funds
  • Underwriting, pricing, and setting terms and conditions on conventional and high-ratio mortgage applications
  • Ensuring referral source satisfaction through excellent customer service, fair adjudication, and strong communication
  • Leading and mentoring a team of underwriters to achieve performance goals

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in business or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of financial experience, including 3 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry
  • 2 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience
  • Experience with various mortgage products, including conventional, high-ratio insured, and HELOC products

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and take ownership of responsibilities.
