Job Title: Transportation Engineering Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified Transportation Engineering Lecturer to join our team at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching an introductory level course on transportation engineering, including transportation system characteristics, classification, mathematical models, and modes; transportation planning (trip generation, trip distribution, mode choice, and traffic assignment); highway geometric design; traffic flow characteristics; capacity and level of service; queuing and simulation models; and evaluation of transportation impacts.

Responsibilities
  • Teach the course on transportation engineering to undergraduate students
  • Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and exams
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in transportation engineering and incorporate new knowledge into the course
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in transportation engineering or a related field, with a strong background in teaching and research. They will also have a minimum of three years of professional experience in transportation engineering and a proven track record of teaching and mentoring students.
