Food Store Team Lead

Milton Halal Meat is seeking a highly skilled Food Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales workers, apprentices, and stages hands to achieve our sales and customer service goals.
- Assign Sales Workers: Effectively allocate tasks and duties to ensure that our customers receive prompt and courteous service.
- Hire and Train: Recruit, train, and develop the skills of new staff members to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Teach Interest or Professional Development Courses: Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.
- Order Merchandise: Source and purchase high-quality products to meet the needs of our customers.
- Authorize Return of Merchandise: Ensure that returns are processed efficiently and that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that our store is adequately staffed at all times.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and promote our products to achieve sales targets.
- Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure that our inventory is accurately recorded and that stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Oversee the activities of our staff to ensure that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee Payroll Administration: Manage payroll and benefits to ensure that our staff are fairly compensated.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly review the performance of our staff to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, walking, standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, excellent written communication, initiative, judgement, ability to multitask.
