Retail Store Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at THE UPS STORE. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities of Workers: Oversee the activities of sales workers, including assigning duties and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Order Merchandise and Authorize Returns: Place orders for merchandise and authorize returns to ensure our store is well-stocked and customer satisfaction is high.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize overtime.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and analyze sales data, merchandising information, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 7 Months to Less than 1 Year of Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment is essential.
  • Urban Area Retail Business: Experience working in an urban area retail business is preferred.
Work Environment:

Our store is located in an urban area, and you will be working in a fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
