About the Role:
Position: Park Operations Financial Coordinator
Location: Winnipeg, Canada
Overview: The Manitoba Government is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Park Operations Financial Coordinator at our Winnipeg office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and administration, business, commerce, or project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and coordination of the Parks District Service Fee program
- Manage Parks Part A and Part B budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance
- Provide financial and administrative support to the Senior Manager, Operations and Development, including budget preparation and financial analysis
- Collaborate with Park Region Managers and the Head of Design and Development to ensure effective financial management and asset management of parks for capital planning
- Approve financial details and procurement methods, ensuring compliance with government regulations
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as business, commerce, or project management
- Experience with public sector project financial management, including budgeting and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with confidential information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders
