Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to partner with our classroom teacher in planning and implementing a full-day early learning program within a Catholic classroom setting.

About the Role

This is an on-call position, requiring the ability to work flexible hours and replace absent staff as needed. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of educators to provide high-quality care and education to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning program supporting faith initiatives within a Catholic classroom setting
  • Provide supervision and age-appropriate Catholic programming for groups of students as part of the extended day program
  • Support the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • One to three years of experience in childcare or educational settings
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Education full-day early learning program and related legislation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and the public
  • Proven commitment to maintaining confidentiality and dealing with stressful situations
