About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Cafe 1274. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our cafe runs efficiently and effectively.

Inventory Management

Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely manner, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.

Staff Supervision and Training

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Financial Management

Prepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings.

Customer Service

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.

Work Scheduling

Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately staffed and that customer needs are met.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment
  • Permanent employment
  • Fluency in English
  • 40 hours per week
