At ROAD STAR TRUCK LINE LTD., we are seeking a reliable and skilled Short Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
- Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure that our vehicles are always in good working condition.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that our vehicles are safe and compliant with regulations.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods: Safely transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Driver's License: Hold a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate: Possess a valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
