Job Title: Marshalling Yard Coordinator

Hatch Bantrel, a leading engineering and construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Marshalling Yard Coordinator to join our team on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, coordination, and tracking of project deliveries at the marshalling yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the yard is organized to facilitate contractor access and material sorting
  • Attend and participate in weekly shop production meetings to maintain awareness of material issues and status
  • Perform count and inspection of arriving material
  • Conduct complete or partial inventories as required to validate inventory records
  • Ensure material issues are properly controlled and documented in accordance with project procedures
  • Participate in the disposition of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Procurement supervision
  • Prepare shipping documents and registers for all materials shipped from temporary operating and jobsite locations
  • Maintain registers to control industrial gas bottles, returnable reel logs, and returnable containers
  • Prepare and maintain inventory control records (manual and automated)
  • Execute all other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of progressive experience or training in EPC or related industries in the functions of Procurement, Engineering, or Construction
  • General knowledge of planning, receipt, storage, and issuance of construction parts and materials
  • Proficiency in Expediting and experience in one or more Procurement functions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders, including clients, senior leaders, and frontline employees
  • Brings a team-centric approach that is supportive and encouraging
  • Can manage shifting priorities while maintaining deliverable deadlines
