Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at DELTA GOLF COURSE (2015) LTD.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the golf course grounds, including cutting grass, removing litter and garbage, watering and tending to plants, lawns and gardens, and operating and maintaining landscape maintenance equipment.

A strong understanding of gardening and landscaping principles is essential, as well as excellent physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

This is a full-time permanent position with 40 hours of work per week, offering a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain golf course grounds, including cutting grass, removing litter and garbage, and watering and tending to plants, lawns and gardens.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and pruners.
  • Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease, and apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products as needed.
  • Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in horticulture or related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in landscaping or related field.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights and operate heavy machinery safely.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
