Pediatric Emergency Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, interventions, and case management services to pediatric patients and their families in the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify client and family needs, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
- Provide individual, family, and group interventions to address a range of mental health issues, including crisis intervention and short-term follow-up treatment.
- Collaborate with Emergency Department staff, community mental health teams, and other service providers to ensure effective patient flow and discharge planning.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and local hospitals to enhance intra-agency cooperation and access to community resources.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including program evaluation and data collection, to inform practice and policy changes.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related health discipline.
- Two years' recent related clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health, including assessment, intervention, and case management.
- Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
