Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at West Vancouver Monarch Montessori Childcare. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and relevant experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality child-care programs that promote the well-being and development of children.
  • Lead engaging activities that foster learning and growth, including storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Support children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Monitor children's progress and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Create a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Plan and coordinate activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and assist early childhood educator assistants as needed.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Relevant experience in early childhood education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift children and participate in activities.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, and opportunities for professional development.
