The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide expert nursing care to neonates with complex medical conditions
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority
About this Opportunity:
This is a relief full-time opportunity until April 11, 2025, or the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.
About this Location/Unit:
Kelowna General Hospital's NICU department is a major referral centre for Interior Health, caring for neonates less than or equal to 30 weeks gestation. The department operates 24/7 with four RNs on staff at any given time. Nursing staff work Days (07:30 to 19:30) and Nights (19:30 to 07:30).
