The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a dedicated and accountable individual to fill the Evening Child Minding Coordinator role. This position involves providing supervision and planning of all child-minding programs, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for participants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in recruiting, training, and coaching staff and volunteers, as well as ensuring they understand and follow the standards of the YMCA. They will also be responsible for staff and volunteer scheduling, addressing member complaints, and coordinating the operations of all programs and services.

Key qualifications for this role include a High School Diploma or equivalent, early childhood development or related experience, and previous leadership experience. The successful candidate will also require certifications in Standard First Aid & CPR-C and be able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector check.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the supervisor in recruiting, training, and coaching staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure staff and volunteers understand and follow the standards of the YMCA.
  • Staff and volunteer scheduling.
  • Address member complaints and issues that may arise.
  • Role model recruitment and retention of staff and volunteers.
  • Consistent communication with staff, volunteers, and members.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the operations of all programs and services.
  • Actively supervise all participants and ensure instructors' performance is aligned with job duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure program schedules have a variety of options and times.
  • Follow OH&S standards.
